A Touch of the Blues

Fran Melton is a Brisbane-based artist who seeks to inspire others through her expressive use of colour. Working primarily in watercolour, she aims to bring freshness, vibrancy, and simplicity to her paintings, capturing everyday scenes that people can readily connect with.

Fran has been developing her painting practice since 2022, regularly exhibiting her work locally. Her interest in the Recovered Futures Art Exhibition comes from lived experience of supporting a family member who faces ongoing mental health challenges.

Painting has also been an important part of Fran's own wellbeing. Time spent in nature or in her studio offers quiet reflection, influencing her creative practice and supporting her mental health. Fran hopes her work brings enjoyment, connection, and encouragement to others.
