DRAGON CAT

Frilly is a Brisbane-based artist who works predominantly in acrylics and enjoys experimenting with a variety of other mediums. She runs a small picture framing business in Holland Park and paints in her backroom studio after work.

Living with ADHD, Frilly finds running a business both rewarding and challenging. While the long hours and hard work can be demanding, she values the freedom it provides for her fast-thinking, easily-distracted mind - something that ultimately fuels both her creativity and her art practice.

‘DRAGON CAT’ was born of my imagination, culminating in a series of still life pieces featuring cat vases and my favourite fruits. Growing dragon fruit gave me the chance to study it closely - an inspiring process for the work. And, of course, eating the props afterward was a delightful bonus!
