Mind Palace
Tegan is an artist from Logan who loves to experiment with different mediums, from street art installations and acrylic on canvas, to tea stain and ink on canvas. Being neurodivergent, art has been both cathartic and a safe harbour for Tegan, while also providing opportunities to show and sell her pieces.
At 20 years old, this will be Tegan's fourth showing at the Recovered Futures Art Exhibition. The confidence she has gained from this experience has encouraged her to create her very first solo exhibition, which will take place at the Logan Art Gallery in July 2026.
This year at Recovered Futures, Tegan is excited to share two of her favourite pieces, reflecting her connection to culture and mental health.

‘Mind Palace’ features shapes that reflect both traditionally male and female attributes, making them intentionally non-binary. The hypermobile hand positions are a nod to the flexible, intricate ways the mind bends and shifts when processing different thoughts and emotions. Both elements are included to highlight the Mind Palace itself - a blend of architectural styles from various eras, combined with personal visualisations of how I experience anxiety and the many topics that occupy space in my mind.
