As a third-generation painter, JzyArtz has always found inspiration in regional and rural landscapes of Queensland and New South Wales.

Watching scenery pass by a car window on road trips to family events, she always felt frustrated she was unable to capture the beauty of the landscapes that unfolded.

The big sky and wide-open spaces that feel so impossible when in the CBD surrounded by people and buildings on all sides.

In her work she hopes to capture a little of that feeling of space.

My brother travels around Queensland for work and this painting was inspired by a picture taken of him by his workmates on smoko', chilling out at a creek.
