"I painted this for mum on Mother's Day. Roses are her favourite flower."
Katie Rogers is an artist living with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. She started art in high school and has found that it relaxes her and takes her to a peaceful place.
Katie likes challenging herself by trying new things and experimenting with new methods of creating. While she enjoys painting with brushes, she loves to use her hands. Katie finds that using her hands makes the experience more fun and feels freeing.
Over the years, painting has dramatically helped Katie gain more control of her muscle movements. She is proud of how far she has come and is excited to share her work with the world.
