Mini Artwork Colouring Competition – Terms and Conditions

1. Organiser

The Mini Artwork Colouring Competition is organised by Richmond Fellowship Queensland (RFQ) as part of the 2026 Recovered Futures Art Exhibition.

2. Eligibility

  • Entry is free and open to children aged 4–12 years.
  • Entrants will be placed into one of three age groups: 4–6 years, 7–9 years or 10–12 years.
  • Entries must be the child’s own work.
  • Only one entry per child is permitted.
  • Children of RFQ employees are not eligible to enter.
  • A parent or guardian must provide their contact details and consent to the child entering the competition.
  • Each entry must include the child’s first name and age. Incomplete or illegible entries may not be eligible for judging.

3. Entry Period

  • The competition opens on 9 October 2026 and closes at the conclusion of the exhibition on 14 October 2026.
  • Colouring sheets will be available at the Recovered Futures Art Exhibition in King George Square.
  • Completed entries must be placed in one of the clearly marked competition ballot boxes located inside the exhibition or in the outdoor activation space.
  • Entries received after the competition closes will not be accepted.

4. Judging and Selection

  • Entries will be judged by a panel consisting of the Event Coordinator and Event Manager.
  • Entries will be assessed according to creativity, originality and use of colour.
  • Finalists from each age group will be selected throughout the exhibition.
  • One winner from each age group will be selected from the finalists on 15 October 2026.
  • The judging panel’s decision will be final, and no correspondence regarding the outcome will be entered into.
  • The parent or guardian of each winner will be contacted on 15 October 2026 using the details provided on the entry.

5. Prizes

  • One prize will be awarded in each age group.
  • Prize details and images will be published on the competition webpage.
  • Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
  • If an advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside RFQ’s control, RFQ may substitute it with a prize of equal or greater value.
  • Winners must collect their prizes from the RFQ office in Annerley. Collection details and available times will be provided to the parent or guardian when they are contacted.
  • If RFQ is unable to contact a winner after making reasonable attempts, or the prize is not collected within the advised timeframe, RFQ reserves the right to award the prize to another eligible finalist.

6. Privacy and Personal Information

  • RFQ will collect the child’s first name and age, together with the parent or guardian’s contact details, for the purpose of administering the competition and contacting winners.
  • Personal information will not be used for unrelated marketing purposes.
  • Contact details will not be published or shared publicly.
  • Personal information will be handled in accordance with RFQ’s Privacy Policy and applicable privacy requirements.
  • By submitting an entry, the parent or guardian confirms that they consent to RFQ collecting and using the information provided for the purposes of administering the competition.

7. Display of Submitted Artwork

  • By submitting an entry, the parent or guardian gives RFQ permission to display and photograph the child’s submitted artwork in connection with the Recovered Futures Art Exhibition and colouring competition.
  • This may include displaying the artwork at the exhibition, on the RFQ or Recovered Futures Art Exhibition websites, and through RFQ’s social media and communications channels.
  • Only the child’s first name, age and artwork may be published. Parent or guardian contact details will not be displayed.
  • Ownership of the artwork remains with the entrant. Permission to display or reproduce the artwork does not transfer ownership to RFQ.
  • If separate consent to online publication is included on the entry form, RFQ will only publish the artwork online where that consent has been provided.

8. Changes or Cancellation

RFQ reserves the right to amend, suspend, postpone or cancel the competition where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary. Any significant changes will be communicated through the competition webpage or at the exhibition.

9. Third-Party Disclaimer

This competition is administered solely by RFQ and is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Shopify.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, any brands associated with the competition prizes are not sponsors or administrators of the competition and do not endorse or have any association with it.

10. Acceptance of Terms

Submission of an entry confirms that the child’s parent or guardian has read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions on the child’s behalf.
