You're Dreaming Again

Based in Brisbane, Delma is a full-time intuitive abstract artist who studied at the Brisbane College of Arts. She now works from her own studio and paints professionally.

Bright colours play a central role in Delma's work, accompanied by shapes of varying sizes that often reflect life itself - moving, dancing, and gathering, sometimes in harmony and at other times in conflict. These abstract forms often take on human qualities, creating an intersection between art and psychology.

Viewers and collectors are frequently drawn to Delma’s use of colour, movement, and abstraction, and to the dynamic interplay of shapes and marks within her compositions. Her paintings are exhibited online through Bluethumb and at Artwest Community Gallery, with many collectors expressing how her vibrant works resonate with them.

I chose soft colours to create a dream-like effect for the background, then got carried away by adding lots more colours, shapes, and stencils.  Even as a child I dreamed in colour, so the painting of this piece was a very pleasurable experience for me. It is framed, glazed and ready to hang on your wall!
