Rachel is an emerging Brisbane/Meanjin-based artist, known for creating vibrant, textured artworks filled with joyful energy. Rachel is especially drawn to flowers for their universal symbolism - they speak of love, change, celebration, and memory.

Although Rachel initially followed a career in law, she returned to her childhood love of art after experiencing postnatal anxiety - not just as an outlet, but as a way of being. Rachel's early motherhood experiences have allowed her to truly appreciate the deep therapeutic power of art, as well as the importance and beauty of slowing down and reclaiming her intuition.

When clustered together, proteas, grevillea and paper daisies become powerful symbols of intuition, resilience, and the quiet spark that draws us towards our purpose. Wild yet grounded, these flowers reflect the feminine journey of learning to trust inner wisdom, grow through change, and reconnect with what truly lights us up. I created this piece to celebrate the strength, softness, and self-belief found in becoming more fully ourselves.
