Resurgence
Mariah is a Queensland-based artist who works intuitively across mediums, though is mostly drawn to painting. For Mariah, creative practice is a sanctuary – a place to unmask, express, and process emotions freely and unapologetically, without the need to minimise or accommodate.
Living with ADHD and PTSD, Mariah's work often carries a sense of urgency – a need to externalise emotions and experiences that resist language yet demand expression. Each piece offers a moment of introspection: honest, unfiltered, and vulnerable; offering connection without expectation.

This work holds a moment of return - when something begins to shift, even if only slightly. It speaks to the subtle intensity of the first trace of light after a long stretch of dark.
