Vicki is a painter and potter based in Port Macquarie, working across abstract painting and ceramics. Her practice is shaped by coastal living, intuition, and a deep connection to process, texture, and emotional expression.

Living with ADHD and autism, Vicki began painting during a significant period of mental health struggle following years of anxiety, postpartum depression, and burnout. What began as a coping mechanism became a lifeline and an essential form of self-expression.

Working intuitively through colour, movement, and layered texture, Vicki's paintings reflect shifting emotional states, becoming more expressive during periods of overwhelm. Through both paint and clay, Vicki creates work that invites stillness, connection, and honesty, while exploring the complexity of lived experience.

A celebration of colour and feeling, this piece radiates vibrancy and joy. Bold, expressive tones come together in a layered harmony, where shifting hues reveal subtle details within the depth of the surface. As the eye moves across the work, new interactions of colour emerge, evoking a sense of happiness, light, and emotional warmth that lingers beyond the surface.
