Gang-gang
Luna is a multi-disciplinary artist who has been making art since she was in her teens. Starting out with acrylic works, Luna moved on to work with pastels, oils, watercolours, and papier mâché. More recently, she has been concentrating on lino prints and print media specialising in whimsical imagery of birds, rabbits, and hares. Luna is similarly inspired to design, carve and paint imagery of churches and inspirational humans including Mother Teresa and Uncle Jack Charles.
Art has always been Luna's way of coping with neurodivergence. Providing her with the ability to detach from the world and create beauty, Luna enjoys all art mediums and continues to experiment with creative projects which inspire and delight.

I created this piece as part of a series featuring native Australian birds. I'm especially inspired by cockatoos - their cheekiness, courage, and striking presence always capture my attention. The Gang-gang Cockatoo is a particular favourite of mine, thanks to its beautiful colouring and unique character.
