Clare has spent the past three decades developing her artistic skills and sharing her work in exhibitions, after attaining her Bachelor of Visual Arts and Honours degree in painting. Specialising in portraits and figurative art, her practice often reflects the highs and lows of human emotion. Having lived with anxiety her whole life, Clare is committed to a healing journey through both spiritual practice and artistic expression.

Alongside her own practice, Clare has managed and facilitated numerous community art classes and mural projects across Brisbane. She continues to work as an Arts Facilitator, supporting people with disabilities and mental health conditions through accessible, art-based programs. Clare’s goal is to enrich the community by helping others pursue their own creative ambitions.

Solitude comes with grief. Life goes on around us, but we can feel disconnected from it, distracted by the wounds we carry that no one can see. There's no way around it, we must move through it, one day at a time. In the quiet depths of a sleepless night, the Curlew's cry is a reminder from the spirit world, that we are surrounded by the love of our lost ones that now reside in the stars.
