Cosmic Ocean

Kerry Dodds was inspired to paint as therapy in 2019 after discovering a fascination with light and colour, and how they affect or convey mood.
 
Kerry is a self-taught artist, working mainly in acrylic and mixed media, taking inspiration from landscapes and the human experience. Kerry works from her home studio in Petrie, Queensland.

‘Cosmic Ocean’ is a boundless, unformed void teeming with potential and chaos. Through deep blues and swirling forms, I represent an unordered sea where light and dark collide. The central orb and fragmented shapes suggest both cosmic birth and formless dissolution. Inspired by myths of the primordial ocean, this artwork contrasts cacophony with emerging order, inviting the viewer to linger in the mystery between nothingness and creation.
