Bar - First name Crow
For Kim, art has always been more than a creative pursuit - it is a lifeline, a form of self-expression, and a way of navigating the complexities of mental health. As a multidisciplinary artist, Kim works across a variety of mediums and techniques, with each piece reflecting personal experiences and emotions while fostering connection and understanding.
Alongside their own practice, Kim is deeply committed to accessibility and inclusion, working as an art facilitator in the disability sector. In this role, they support others in embracing creativity as a tool for self-expression, growth, and healing.
Kim’s work highlights the transformative power of art, serving both as a personal sanctuary and a bridge leading to broader conversations about mental health and community care.

Crows are highly intelligent, adaptable, and gather in family groups - yet they’re often seen as pests or harbingers of doom. Similarly, stigma causes people to view those struggling with mental illness as weak or dangerous, rather than recognising their resilience and strength. Bar is the youngest of the murder of crows that visits our house - a very bossy young thing who lets mum know just how hungry they are.
