Felicity has always worked as a soft sculpture and mixed media artist. Her practice incorporates a wide range of textile and mixed media techniques, often using non-traditional and upcycled materials. Recognisable fibres, textiles, and other mediums are transformed into three-dimensional sculptural forms, with every piece bespoke, stitched, and entirely self-created.

Felicity's work explores the internal landscapes of mind and body, reflecting her own journey of personal recovery. She hopes that by sharing these experiences, others facing similar challenges may find connection and encouragement in broader conversations around mental health.

Felicity’s current artworks focus on thermal, PET, and MRI imaging of the brain—examining mental health, ageing, and addiction. The vivid colours and firing synapses belie the reality of disease, creating a striking contrast between light and dark, and finding beauty within ugliness.

This series is based on my research into thermal imaging of various mental health disorders, alongside comparisons to what is considered 'normal'. But is anyone truly 'normal'? Or are we each simply a unique variation of a type? This piece is machine embroidered with coloured thread on silk organza and mounted on steel pins, creating a three-dimensional effect that showcases the layered complexity of the brain.
