Sweet Rain (Blue-faced Honeyeaters)
Kristy-Ann is an Australian artist with a passion for birds. More than just capturing a visual likeness, Kristy-Ann creates art that shares special moments she has spent watching birds.
She portrays the beautiful places they live and their fascinating behaviours; black swans ripping green weed from the bottom of a river, pelicans preening and leaving a trail of soft feathers in the water, grey fantails dancing amongst the trees.
Kristy-Ann creates art that is both true to the subject and her own interpretation of the mood, producing unique and vibrant works. An important part of Kristy Ann's healing in her own mental health journey, she hopes her art also brings joy to others.

In 'Sweet Rain', I painted blue-faced honeyeaters feasting amid gentle rainfall to reflect my belief that joy and colour can still be found even in life’s darkest moments. This work is a reminder to stop waiting for the storm to pass, but to choose to dance in the rain - seeking beauty and hope in the present. Through this piece, I hope others feel encouraged to embrace whatever season they find themselves in.
