O Mundo Todinho (The Whole World)
Born in Brazil, Thicia began painting at an early age, first exploring acrylics and texture. After moving to Italy, she experimented with oils and drawing while studying art alongside a design career in Florence, before relocating to Australia.
Her work explores freedom, human emotion, and fractured memory, with colour mixing often revealing otherworldly forms and creatures within the paint. Art became a vital source of healing during Thicia’s recent mental health journey, profoundly shaped by personal loss.
Now working as a full-time artist, Thicia’s practice has quickly gained recognition. She was a finalist in the Brisbane Rotary Art Show 2025, featured in Art Edit magazine, and has exhibited in group shows, with works available across Brisbane venues and online.

'O Mundo Todinho' ('The Whole World') explores my view of our wonderfully diverse world from a new perspective. A central rose guides me towards a softer way of connecting with others and serves as a reminder to be gentle with myself. Using acrylics, watercolours, and ink, I also explored with seeds and leaves as my brushes, adding texture to the work. The colours are inspired by a favourite summer dress and morning walks through the parks around Brisbane.
