Beauty Comes in all Forms
Creative arts have always been part of Boli’s life, settling her in times of stress, anxiety, and depression. It’s a way of taking the dark out of one’s head and putting it 'out there'.
Since going back into kindergarten teaching, Boli loves instilling creativity into the curriculum, so that children can explore the world and express themselves through creative mediums. Embracing the outdoor classroom, Boli uses nature ('the accessible beauty') to inspire creativity. With the outdoors offering so much to us in the way of natural therapy, Boli believes we are blessed to live in a country that offers such abundant nature.

I found this mannequin in a thrift shop and knew instantly I wanted to do some painting on it. It was a fabulous shape to work with, grooves, curves, indents, not just a flat canvas. I started with a paint pour of acrylic paint and let the paint point the direction of where the paint went. After looking at it for a while I started to see the finer details emerge with dots and finer sections of colour. I enjoyed doing this piece so much, navigating a different surface and a 3D form. I hope to do more in the future.
