Artworks are first available for purchase by sponsors and dignitaries before being available in person at the Exhibition in Brisbane. Unsold artworks can also be purchased online following the event.
"I created this artwork in the presence of my dear mum, who, just like the caterpillar, was transitioning into a butterfly to grow wings and fly to the next phase of her soul's journey. She told me before she passed that this was my best work yet."
Peta Jay is an ephemeral artist from Brisbane who works with flowers and foliage to create one-of-a-kind artworks to share her love of nature and inspire others to connect with nature. She likes to repurpose nature pieces she forages on walks, finding the inspiration in the unique pieces to typically create artworks that honour wildlife and animals.
Nature was such a soothing and healing space in Peta's own PTSD journey following her 17-year policing career, that she studied to become a certified nature-based therapist and mindfulness educator. Peta founded her business 'Into the Wild Nature Therapy' to help other people heal, grow and thrive.
