Vanessa Harvey is an artist from a small country town, now lost in Brisbane. Art has become a big part of Vanessa's life, offering a healthy escape and a place for self-expression.
Moving to Brisbane with a handful of scribble materials, now Vanessa's home is an art studio. On the left... art materials, on the right... art materials, open the fridge... probably more art materials.
Art is the little monster that lives inside Vanessa; bubble tea in one hand and a pencil in the other. Everything Vanessa creates has a bit of her in it.
"With a gaze so intense, I wonder, is he opening his mind to you or is he looking into yours? The process of creating him was experimental and done with open curiosity, leaving me wondering what it all means."
