Lisa Tucker discovered the meditative practice of Chinese brush painting after the passing of her son, Dwayne. It became a means of dealing with the grief; a creative expression of healing which was beneficial for her mental health and wellbeing.
Lisa found her passion, which led to studying to become a transpersonal art therapist (spirit work using art), graduating in November 2016. Following her graduation, Lisa established her business- art2cin2u.com. Lisa feels honoured to support people with their healing journeys through art. Lisa says the retreats and workshops throughout Australia and New Zealand have not only been healing, but inspiring.
Each person Lisa has supported has been able to express themselves through their art pieces and exhibits, with some participants also selling their art. Lisa's future aspiration is to provide retreats/workshops within the corporate world, targeting team building and spiritual values within the workplace.
"This painting represents myself in the middle (bilby), my parents (emu/bat) and my five children (koala, echidna x3 and kangaroo). We are all living the circle of life.
The animals represent each family member's animal totem. These totem animals are defined by the month of each member's birth into this life. These animals all have certain character traits and personalities."
