"This piece represents the connection between me and my career. Although not without its challenges, being a chef helped me understand a lot about myself. Through this painting, I was able to portray my journey as a chef and leave it behind with honour."
Clinton is a humble and sensitive 65-year-old man who grew up in Hobart, Tasmania. After working as a chef for 25 years, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia at 40 after going through major stresses with his work and relationships.
Clinton found peace and healing through his faith, with his artwork mostly inspired by the voice of God. He believes God has given him an artistic gift so he can connect to himself and create something meaningful that will last forever.
Clinton spends a minimum of five hours a day in prayer and painting.
