LE Leigh-Ellen Roundhill started painting when she became unwell. Subconsciously it was her personal therapy, and she was able to produce artworks without any preconceived ideas or tuition.
On the completion of each piece, LE Leigh-Ellen Roundhill found each artwork revealed a message or narrative. This allowed her to gain insight from the image and into herself. Being creative gives her a safe space and the freedom to explore and express herself.
LE Leigh-Ellen Roundhill continues to improve her skills and increase her knowledge, while maintaining the delicate balance of one's sanity and ongoing recovery. As an artist, LE Leigh-Ellen Roundhill uses numerous mediums and materials - her artwork is diverse in artistic style and subject matter.
From detailed miniatures to murals, sculpture and installations, LE Leigh-Ellen Roundhill works are limited only by her imagination, resources and space. Being self-taught, LE Leigh-Ellen Roundhill exhibits and successfully sells her work as an 'Outside Artist' and has received many accolades. She will continue to evolve, as art for her is an experimental journey of discovery into the future.
"The inspiration behind 'Test of Time' and further image development is in the recognition of my determination, resilience and inner strength to survive and progress - against the odds. We weather the seasons as they come and go; not unlike the journey through life. Each season presents its challenges, as it does in daily situations.
Time allows the opportunity for reflection, understanding, and to gain the ability of how to respond to constant change. The precious moments of recovery are represented by glimmers of gold and silver. I tell myself to remain steadfast - no season lasts forever!"
