"Yellow, red, pink, purple, gold, silver and white paints splattered onto a negative black canvas background, creating a sea of stingrays swimming in a fever, colliding into each other.

I named it 'Stingrays Sensation' as I recently went to Seaworld with my carer, Caroline and spent half my day patting the stingrays. They are one of my favourite sea creatures, so I wanted to paint and recreate this memory."

Sami B Autism Abstract Artist is a 36-year-old female artist, exhibiting in the Recovered Futures Art Exhibition for the third consecutive time.

Sami loves abstract painting for fun, creativity and therapy. Sami has autism, spine injuries, nerve damage, three autoimmune diseases, fibromyalgia, brain damage, chronic anxiety, major depression, PTSD, OCD and chronic pain, losing use of limbs.

Sami often paints with her carer, Caroline. Even though it causes extreme pain, Sami continues to paint because she loves it so much. Her use of bright, bold, fun and happy colours match her personality.
