Artworks are first available for purchase in-person at the Recovered Futures Art Exhibition in Brisbane. Unsold artwork will be available for purchase online following the event.
SMK has been an exhibitor in this art exhibition since 2007, and appreciates that being able to exhibit each year means having the opportunity to showcase and sell artwork in a safe and supportive space. Without the exhibition, SMK would not feel comfortable sharing artwork publicly. SMK was a supporting artist in the 2013 instalment of this exhibition and was interviewed by ABC Brisbane.
Art helps sort out SMK's brain. It also provides something tangible outside of herself.
"I wanted to combine lines and dots. Creating this was a freeing process. It feels like there is wind in this artwork. I used a fine stick and throwing dart to create this piece."
