Anna Lunar is a 28-year-old Meanjin-based queer and uses she/they pronouns. They have lived experience of domestic violence and homelessness.
Anna is grateful for the women’s support groups at Nundah Neighbourhood Centre and Centacare, which, along with engagement in EMDR therapy, have helped Anna no longer meet the criteria for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Anna now works for a free mental health service with young people and families, helping others in similar situations.
"Being in the ‘gap’ can be scary with nothing to hold on to. But nothing is not nothing. It is vibrant with possibility. It is the state of pure potential that existed before the universe was created. It is the gap between the ingoing and outgoing breath.

Relax and treasure each moment of the experience: something sacred is about to be born."
