Artworks are first available for purchase by sponsors and dignitaries before being available in person at the Exhibition in Brisbane. Unsold artworks can also be purchased online following the event.

Maureen Young lives in public housing in the light industrial suburb of Rocklea. There she experiences a closeness to the natural world, amidst the grim reality of industrial pollution and poverty.
Art is a way to transcend the depredations of social isolation, and an antidote to boredom. Maureen attempts to express complex ideas through her art through mediums and techniques she has taught herself.
