Levi Diball is a Brisbane-based emerging outsider artist. Levi feels that art provides many unimaginable opportunities.
Levi has been awarded grants and prizes, had two solo exhibitions, been interviewed, published in a calendar, done live and public art and exhibited as a special guest artist with EPIC Assist.
Levi has exhibited internationally in Japan and the UK and exhibited in a growing list of Brisbane galleries like Juggler’s, The Powerhouse Museum, Aspire, Letherbridge and Graydon Galleries, Town Hall, QUT, River Fire, KPMG, Brisbane Institute of Art, Hands on Art, various festivals, hospitals, libraries and markets.
Art helps Levi to understand self-identity. As Levi's art progresses through individual expression and in response to life experiences, Levi is discovering an individual style that is expanding her art practice and is empowering her with confidence as an artist… who happens to have a disability.
"The emotion of love is unpredictable and choosing an equal outcome of using this photographic technique worked in with the theme of ‘Recovered Futures’. To create this photograph, I used a torch to write the word on a darkened surface and then changed the shutter speed to quickly capture the word 'LOVE'."
