Jennifer Kenny was born in rural New South Wales and now resides in Bundaberg, Queensland. For many years, Jennifer's art practice has explored human interaction with the land and the balance of interdependence. Jennifer's work has also been informed by mental illness, as seen through the eyes of a care giver.
Jennifer has a BA in Fine Arts from Curtin University and has studied at ANU School of Arts. Jennifer's work is represented in public and private collections.
"This artwork was inspired by my need for a moment's peace; a quiet space away from everything so my mind can just be. It is the garden that affords me this precious head space and I have spent many hours over the years just pottering around talking to my plants, especially the orchids – they are great listeners!"
