"No matter what the day throws at me, hearing the cheerful squeaks from my cats when I get home makes everything better. They remind me to be kind and gentle and that there is still good in the world. They are there for me through the good and the bad, always giving love, head bumps and demanding food; melting my worries away with gentle snuggles and not-so-gentle love bites. I love my cats."
Rami Jackson has been drawing and experimenting with art since she was a child. It was always something she could go to when she needed a break from the real world.
Drawing and focusing on creating intricate patterns in her art brings Rami peace. It helps her cope and remain focused during difficult times.
After moving to Springfield Lakes in 2019, she started experimenting with acrylic paint. Favouring bright colours, intricate patterns and flowers, Rami has found her own distinct art style.
