Autumn is inspired by the transition between summer and winter. I explored the in-between, the preparation and the restoration qualities of the season physically in nature and my emotional response through the use of colours, including specific autumn blooming flora such as the native Grevillea ‘Peaches and Cream’.
Painting native biota subject matter educates myself about Australia’s ancient environment and our role within the landscape.
