Inder was born in Kenya and immigrated to Australia in 1988, completing school in Australia. Inder's interest in art was first cultivated at a young age and further developed during high school.

Having experienced mental health issues as a teenager, Inder found great comfort and solace in art; it was a safe place. Inder enjoys creating artwork in the solitude of her studio.

Inder is inspired by beauty all around her, from the sunrise at the break of dawn, to the dew that settles on the grass blades each morning. Inder's artwork is a celebration of the beauty and resilience of nature. Inder is fascinated by life; how a tiny seed can grow into the majestic tree or how a butterfly emerges from a cocoon.

Inder sees life as a series of thousands of tiny miracles, and she likes to capture these in her artwork.

"In nature, all life begins with a single seed. Given the right circumstances and environment, it has the ability to thrive, even in the harshest conditions. Sprouts emerge when the seeds are ready to burst open. For me, the seeds are yet to fully open. I view this as a metaphor for my life, as there is still so much locked within me that I have yet to discover, unfold and manifest."
